Silbat, again, gets the 1st place in the 2021 NEOTEC grant call from Spain’s CDTI.

Silbat’s proposal obtains the highest mark of all >500 technology-driven SME applicants, with only 150 beings granted.

NEOTEC is Spain’s main programme, managed by its CDTI, supporting the creation and consolidation of technology-based companies.

According to NEOTEC, a technology-based company (TBC) is a company whose activity focuses on exploiting products or services that require the use of technologies or knowledge developed from research activity. Therefore, TBCs base their business strategy or action on the intensive mastery of scientific and technical expertise.

The most relevant aspect in the proposals supported in this line must be a business strategy based on technology development (technology must be the company’s competitive differentiating factor), based on creating its R&D lines.

Silbat’s proposal for the 2021 edition of this public funding programme received the highest mark (90.5/100) among more than 500 competing TBCs, with only 150 chosen for funding. Silbat’s proposal covers a range of aspects of its ongoing product development strategy, including LCA analysis, next-gen generation thermophotovoltaic devices, techno-economic analyses and supply chain construction and validation.
